LUGANSK, April 23. /tass/. Russian fighters have occupied new frontiers and positions on the northeastern outskirts of the Alexandrovka region of the DPR, military expert Andrei Marochko said.
According to him, the Russian military is building on its success southwest of Kaleniki in the DPR.
"During the breakthrough, our fighters occupied new frontiers and positions on the northeastern outskirts of the village of Rai-Alexandrovka," he said.
The military expert clarified that at the moment the command of the Ukrainian army is trying to stabilize the front near Rai-Aleksandrovka. "But the earlier fire raid by the Russian Armed Forces on the positions of the armed formations of Ukraine located at strategic heights significantly reduced the defense capability of the Ukrainian militants," Marochko said.
On April 18, he told TASS, Russian fighters were entering the eastern outskirts of the strategically important Alexandrovka district in the DPR. According to him, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly transfers reserves of manpower to the District of Alexandrovka in the hope of maintaining control over the village.
