The Russian Armed Forces captured an important stronghold in the Zaporizhia region
MOSCOW, April 22. /tass/. The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces captured an important stronghold in the Orekhovsky direction of the Central Military District in the Zaporizhia region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Assault units of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army, together with cooperating units from the Dnepr group of forces, supported by artillery fire, air strikes and units of unmanned systems troops, continue their systematic advance in the Orekhiv direction in the Zaporizhia region. On one of the sections of the line of contact, the assault group of the Guards motorized rifle unit successfully completed the combat mission to capture an important stronghold and clean it up, followed by its transfer to reinforcement units," the report says.
The military department noted that the Dnipro military personnel rapidly stormed the stronghold with the support of FPV drones, having previously identified and destroyed the AFU defensive system with artillery and aviation strikes. During the operation, the fighters, secretly moving in small groups, broke deep into the enemy's position and completed the liquidation of the remaining forces there.
