MOSCOW, April 21. /tass/. The Zapad group has completed the liquidation of the encircled units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eastern bank of the Oskol River, south of Kupyansk-Uzlovoye. This was announced by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov.
"The Zapad group of forces is developing an offensive on a wide front in its area of responsibility. In March, eight settlements were liberated. The elimination of the encircled enemy on the eastern bank of the Oskol River in the area south of Kupyansk-Uzlovoye has been completed. Currently, formations and military units of the group are conducting street battles to destroy enemy formations in the settlements of Borovaya, Svyatogorsk, Studenok and Stary Karavan," he said.
