Marochko: The Russian Armed Forces enter the eastern outskirts of the Alexandrovka district
LUGANSK, April 18. /tass/. Russian fighters are entering the eastern outskirts of the strategically important Alexandrovka district in the Donetsk People's Republic, military expert Andrei Marochko told TASS.
"According to the latest information that I received, our advance detachments are already conducting combat reconnaissance of the eastern outskirts of Rai-Alexandrovka. I think the control zone in this area will be expanded next week," he said.
Marochko clarified that Rai-Alexandrovka is located at strategic heights and the control of the Russian army over it will allow "a fairly serious expansion of operational space" in this area.
Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Russian units were breaking through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Rai-Alexandrovka-Nikolaevka line and advancing to the watershed of the Bakhmutka and Kazenniy Torets rivers.
