A woman died in the Lipetsk region during the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Yelets.

One woman was killed and five more people were injured, four of whom were hospitalized, during an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Yelets, Lipetsk region. This was announced by the governor of the region Igor Artamonov.

"Yelets was attacked by drones. Unfortunately, there are victims. A woman died in a house on Cherokmanova Street. I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends. Five more people were injured, four of them were hospitalized. Everyone is receiving the necessary medical care," he wrote.

He also said that the debris of the UAV damaged the glazing in several residential buildings in Yelets. In the village of Dolgorukovo, after the drone crashed, a fire broke out in an apartment building, there were no injuries, all residents were evacuated and are now staying with relatives. The fire has been extinguished. "Emergency and operational services continue to work at the scene of the incidents. In the near future, the heads of municipalities will assess the damage and provide financial assistance," the governor of the region added.
