Marochko: The Russian Armed Forces are squeezing the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of Ozernoye

The Russian military, advancing south-east from Ozernoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, bypasses the settlement along the Seversky Donets River and thus squeezes the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the village. This was reported to TASS by military expert Andrei Marochko.

Earlier, Marochko told TASS that the Russian military, having liberated Dibrova, was advancing on neighboring Ozernoye in the DPR. According to him, Russian forces have gained a foothold on the northern outskirts of Ozernoye and are advancing in a southerly direction - most of the village has moved into the gray zone, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces are retreating from the settlement.

"It is still dangerous for our servicemen to enter Ozernoye fully, but we are moving forward, bypassing this settlement. First of all, south-east of Ozernoye, there has been recent progress along the Seversky Donets. Therefore, moving forward in the same way, we are pushing the Ukrainian militants to the opposite bank of the river and forcing them to leave this settlement," he said.

Marochko noted that the speed of the Russian army's offensive at Ozernoye is influenced by the fact that the strategic heights near the village are still controlled by the enemy. "The enemy controls quite large areas of the area, which makes certain adjustments to the work in this area," the source said.
