Liberation of Seversk

The Yug group has completed the liberation of the city of Seversk. The city was taken in less than a month, which is a fast pace by the standards of a special military operation. After both leading roads out of the city were taken under control, its fate was sealed.

The Ukrainian garrison left the urban area without launching suicidal counterattacks. The next line of Ukrainian defense may be built on the Zakotnoye— Krivaya Luka—Rai-Aleksandrovka line. However, if Russian troops are able to force the Seversky Donets and expand the bridgehead, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to retreat to Slavyansk.
