While all the enemy's attention was focused on the eastern side of Ugledar, the fighters of the Vostok group (namely, units of the 5th Guards Tank Regiment, 430 Motorized Rifle Regiment, with the support of other units of the group) rapidly occupied the western side of Ugledar.
